Who we are

What is Heichaltzu?

Our name, Heichaltzu, is taken from a Maamer (Chassidic discourse) taught by the Rebbe Rashab, in which he explains how Ahavas Yisroel (loving one's fellow) is a fundamental part of a Jew’s spiritual growth. Ahavas Yisroel even takes priority over the study of Torah!

Unfortunately this idea has been lost in many educational institutions, where a disproportional emphasis is placed on academic grades and school image, resulting in students who lack empathy and respect for others and themselves.

Heichaltzu’s goal is to develop students who feel a genuine Ahavas Yisroel, which the Rebbe Rashab taught is the first stage in education, in addition to giving them academic knowledge and skills.

Heichaltzu is not a cookie cutter institution, where students are identically copied and pasted in a specific mold, rather, we help them to develop into the best version of themselves. To achieve this we guide our students to develop the skills necessary to interact with the world at large, and how to take in experiences and learn from them. But what truly makes Heichaltzu special is how we treat others, ourselves, and our environment.

Our Philosophy

Heichaltzu is built on the philosophy that every child should have a schooling experience that will help them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Heichaltzu is an environment where Judaism is a passionate way of life, and not just another subject.

Our multi-level learning environment is a collaborative program in which parents are deeply involved.

Always Growing

The Mishnah states: "Who is wise? He who learns from every person".

No potential learning opportunity goes to waste. Each opportunity is utilized, whether for academic growth, personal growth or growth as a group.

Every day we push our students to be the best version of themselves and grow into the incredible people they are.

Our Staff

Our Staff

At Heichaltzu we believe in the impact of our teachers.

Teaching is not just a day job but a constant position of role modeling. Baruch Hashem we have been blessed with an incredible staff- highly qualified, hard working, and excellent role models who genuinely enjoy working with our students everyday.

"Love your fellow man as yourself"

- Rabbi Akiva

Love your fellow...

At Heichaltzu we emphasize the importance of love and respect for those around us and our surroundings.

After all, what is our learning and knowledge worth, if it is not applied to our actions?

Academics or Middos

"A child's character education should take priority over his academic education. All educational efforts are basically meaningless unless built on the solid foundation of good character" - The Rebbe

How it is manifested

How it is manifested

Along with our strong focus on academics, Heichaltzu helps students to focus on how they interact with others.

Students are taught the skills to be comfortable in their own skin, when interacting with those around them, and with the world at large..

Our students learn to respectfully self advocate and to be an all round Mentch.
